ITINERARY

This 7 Day Indonesian holiday offers the chance to experience life at sea and on land around the 26 islands that make up the Komodo National Park. Accessible only by boat these stunning islands remain almost undisturbed by humans and hide diverse bird and wildlife, gentle hiking opportunities and world class dive sites.  Throughout the cruise there is the opportunity to snorkel, freedive, hike, kayak, SUP, or fish.  Ideal for a group of  up to 12 family or friends who wish to charter the boat exclusively or alternatively book a cabin on a set departure.

Length of trip 7 Days / 6 Nights

DAY 1:  Labuan Bajo – Kanawa - Sebayor

We begin from Labuan Bajo Harbour at 11 am where our crew will transfer you to the boat by dinghy and offer you a welcome drink before getting you settled into your cabin. Once onboard and settled we will set sail for Kanawa for snorkeling and then spend the night on anchor near the beautiful Sebayor Islands where you can snorkel in beautiful coral gardens.

DAY 2: Gili Lawa Laut - Gili Lawa Darat

We will sail to the northern tip of Komodo and set anchor at the twin islands of Gili Lawa Laut and Gili Lawa Darat. Here you can explore some of Komodo's most stunning and picturesque reefs, including such famous dive sites as Castle Rock, Lighthouse, Cauldron, Crystal Rock and Golden Passage  -- each with an abundance of colorful and energetic sea life.  You are sure to be impressed by the sheer number of fish and the size of the shoals. At sunset, we can trek to the top of the island to soak in the sunset and spectacular 360-degree views.

DAY 3: Manta Point - Makassar Reef - Turtle Bay, Siaba

After breakfast, we’ll explore Manta Point and Makassar reef. Manta Point is a spot where manta rays are often encountered. Enjoy a full day snorkelling and exploring Indonesia’s underwater paradise.  Sail to Taka Makassar and Turtle Bay for lunch and chance to explore this tiny island is tiny which seems almost like a mirage. The waters here are shallow, clear and home to sea turtles and beautiful corals.  You’ll also see a colourful variety of hard and soft corals, tropical reef fish and turtles.

Day 4: Komodo National Park, Pink Beach, and Padar Island

We have an early start today to meet our park ranger for a guided hike into the interior of Komodo Island, where we hope for sightings of prehistoric Komodo dragons. From there we will move to Pink Beach where you can swim and snorkel. As its name suggests, Pink Beach is, well, pink, and is one of a just a handful of beaches in the world said to have pink sand. It owes its blush tone to red coral in its shallow waters. Spend some time swimming and snorkelling among coral reefs in crystal-clear water and then return to the boat for the short journey to Padar Island, the third largest island within Komodo National Park. The illustrious Komodo dragon is no longer found here, though the island is still home to a fantastic array of wildlife, beautiful rolling hills and some great short treks. Take the famous hike up to a stunning view point, keeping your eyes peeled for geckos, green turtles and other various reptiles.

Day 5:  Day South Rinca

From there we sail to the island of Rinca, this time you visit the southern coast which offers more encounters with the komodo dragons plus a host of deer, boars and more monkeys.  The day will largely be spent exploring the underwater environment featuring many of the 1000 species living in the area.  In addition to the splendour underneath the waves, there are also some impressive rock formations which are accessible by tender. Cruising past these formations will get you up close to the steep elevations of the the southern coast of Rinca and you may catch some unmissable views of some of the birds residing on the steep cliffs.

Day 6 - Kelor Island - Moringa - Kukusan - Flying Bats at Dusk

Kelor Island offers plenty to enjoy; a swim or a snorkel, kayak, or have a little bit of fun on a paddleboard. We will also have the option of visiting the adjacent island of Kukusan where we will meet a settlement of ‘sea-gypsies,’ the Bajao people who build their homes on stilts over the sea. At around sunset we will be able to witness the departure of thousands of flying foxes departing their roosts to feed, and later that evening we will cruise to Komodo dragon country.  White sand blends with clear blue water which is bordered by a group of islands opposite, and is lined with bright blue sky.  You can enjoy a swim or a snorkel, kayak, or have a little bit of fun on a paddleboard.  Spend a lazy or an active day, as your mood dictates or visit our secret island location and climb up the slopes to the spectacular views across the park landscape and the island’s four bays, fringed with grey or white sand.

Day 7:  Bidadari Island and Return to Labuan Bajo

Morning opportunities to snorkel, trek, or just float around and sun yourself on BidadarI Islands white sand and crystal clear waters.  After lunch, we start our sail back to Labuan Bajo arriving for transfer to your hotel or the airport.

Ideal for a group of up to 12 family or friends who wish to charter the boat exclusively or alternatively book a cabin on a set departure. Length of trip 7 Days / 6 Nights DAY 1: Labuan Bajo – Kanawa - Sebayor We begin from Labuan Bajo Harbour at 11 am where our crew will transfer you to the boat by dinghy and offer you a welcome drink before getting you settled into your cabin. Once onboard and settled we will set sail for Kanawa for snorkeling and then spend the night on anchor near the beautiful Sebayor Islands where you can snorkel in beautiful coral gardens. DAY 2: Gili Lawa Laut - Gili Lawa Darat We will sail to the northern tip of Komodo and set anchor at the twin islands of Gili Lawa Laut and Gili Lawa Darat. DAY 3: Manta Point - Makassar Reef - Turtle Bay, Siaba After breakfast, we’ll explore Manta Point and Makassar reef. Day 4: Komodo National Park, Pink Beach, and Padar Island We have an early start today to meet our park ranger for a guided hike into the interior of Komodo Island, where we hope for sightings of prehistoric Komodo dragons. Day 5: Day South Rinca From there we sail to the island of Rinca, this time you visit the southern coast which offers more encounters with the komodo dragons plus a host of deer, boars and more monkeys. Day 6 - Kelor Island - Moringa - Kukusan - Flying Bats at Dusk Kelor Island offers plenty to enjoy; a swim or a snorkel, kayak, or have a little bit of fun on a paddleboard. Day 7: Bidadari Island and Return to Labuan Bajo Morning opportunities to snorkel, trek, or just float around and sun yourself on BidadarI Islands white sand and crystal clear waters. After lunch, we start our sail back to Labuan Bajo arriving for transfer to your hotel or the airport.
